Corporate social responsibility
In order to fulfil its mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality,” Bridgestone Australia continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community by working closely with charitable organisations and with organisations around the world to develop new, environmentally sustainable technologies.
Support our commitment to find a cure.
Bridgestone Australia is proud to again be the Principal Partner of the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual Light the Night. More than 60,000 people are living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood disorder, and another 34 people are diagnosed every day. The events raise funds and hope to support these people.
The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge showcases advances in automotive and renewable energy technologies. The annual race sees teams from all over the globe chasing the sun in a 3000 km race from Darwin to Adelaide. In 2013, 45 teams from 26 countries took part – and the race continues to attract the brightest minds from universities, corporations and even high schools.
Bridgestone’s sponsorship of this race fits neatly with our company ethos. We’re constantly looking to minimise the environmental impact of our products and our manufacturing processes. We believe it’s our responsibility to help ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations.
Bridgestone Australia is proud to have a long-standing association with the Leukaemia Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
Among their many essential support services, the Leukaemia Foundation provides patients and their families with courtesy transport to and from treatment. During treatment, a patient’s immune system is severely weakened, so catching public transport can be dangerous due to possible infections.
Bridgestone has provided eight vehicles for the Patient Transport Program, and continues to support this worthwhile cause.
