Bridgestone Select Sandgate has been recognised for its outstanding dedication to customer service at Bridgestone's annual MasterClass awards.
Presented at the recent Bridgestone Family Channel Conference in Fiji, the awards recognise outstanding achievement in the areas of customer service, operations and sales.
Bridgestone Select Sandgate owner Tom Sparks said winning Gold Standard achievements in operations and sales recognised the team's effort to bring the store to a premium level.
"I started as an apprentice at the Sandgate store in 1975 and purchased it about 15 years ago when it came on the market, so I have a strong connection to the outlet and investing in its future," Tom said.
"It's all about the care factor for us. The team at Sandgate care about their work, they take pride in the presentation of the store and most importantly they really enjoy looking after our customers."
"Sandgate's store manager Andrew Bycroft was focused on achieving the Gold Standards and the team supported him by putting in a big effort to make sure we got there."
"We were all really excited to hear that we had won two awards and celebrated with the team over morning tea to thank everyone for their efforts."
The celebrations continue at two other Bridgestone Select stores owned by Mr Sparks, with the Albany Creek and Murrumba Downs outlets also recognised for their dedication to best practise at the annual awards.
Bridgestone's Group General Manager Retail and Marketing, Heath Barclay, said the MasterClass program is about setting and maintaining the highest standards for all Bridgestone outlets across Australia and rewarding the achievement of these standards.
"Tom and the team at Bridgestone Select Sandgate are worthy of this national recognition and are to be congratulated on their outstanding achievement," Heath said.
"They are proof that hard work and excellent customer service gets great results."
