Whether they’re fitting your new tyres or planting trees on World Environment Day, the team at Bridgestone don’t mind getting their hands dirty.
More than 35 Bridgestone employees from across the country raised their green hands to join in the Corporate Tree Planting Challenge in June, which saw native trees planted in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
They eagerly took up the environmental challenge, testing their tree planting skills and ability to work as a team. By the end of the day each staff member had planted more than 40 trees, rallying together to help ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations.
That’s an extra 1400 trees absorbing CO2, releasing oxygen, providing shade and housing wildlife thanks to their efforts.
Bridgestone’s involvement in the event was a further show of support for Conservation Volunteers Australia, after agreeing to plant 10,000 trees in partnership with the organisation late last year.
